The Association reserves the right to interpret, amend, and or add to the rules stated herin. Individuals or groups violating these general or specific rules will forfeit all privileges.
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED
Reservations for the use of the rings for shows, riding lessons, training, equine events and riding meetings, etc. are subject to the approval of the Scheduling Chairperson. Reservations are required and must be in writing or emailed and submitted within two (2) weeks of any verbal commitment along with the deposit and proof on insurance. It must show the name and address of the person in charge and the date and hours of the activity. The use of the ring(s) is limited to the purpose and duration indicated on the application form and such space must be evacuated promptly.Your approved reservation allows set-up the day prior to the event and tear down the day after your event as long as that was stipulated on your request. If you desire/require other arrangements please request it on your reservation form. Anyone using the rings must clean up the areas used, this means the rings, the grounds and the Dennison building as well as the trash. Use of these facilities is restricted to non-profit charitable organization and they promise to use the premise for charitable, educational or other public purposes.
CHARGES
The Horse Park Association does not charge a fee for approved organizations to use the ring for riding meetings. We do require that you fill out and sign a reservation form and get the dates approved. The Horse Park Association is pleased to offfer groups the use of these facilities at no charge but we expect you to help us keep the house and grounds clean and free of litter. Any damage to the buildings, equipment, or grounds will be charged to the group. Clean up must be completed at the end of the meeting.
LIABILITY
The group making the reservation agrees to protect, indemnify and hold harmless The Horse Park Association and Mill Creek Park District from all loss, cost and expenses by reason of injury or damage to any person and/or property, on or about The Park which damage or injury results from the carless or improper conduct on the part of those making the reservation it agents or employees.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of this agreement shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remainder of the agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect. This agreement shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of the State of Ohio. The parties hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of the Common Pleas Court of Mahoning County, Ohio.
PROHIBITED
• Dragging rings with non-horse park equipment or approval
• Lunging or turning horse out in the rings
• Parking trailers, cars, ets. beyond the lot barriers
• Use of equipment without permission
• Use of ring by non-members
• Clearing of equipment (jumps, dressage rings, barrels, etc.) without permission
• Use of cross-country jumps without permission
• Riding meetings, lessons or any other use unless previously scheduled and approved by BHP scheduling chairperson
